The Lady Royals improved their record to 17-1 with a win over number 1 ranked Warren Central Thursday night.
The Lady Royals jumped out to an early 17-6 lead and looked like the were going to dominate the entire game. However, Warren Central proved to be a fierce competitor and made a run in the second quarter outscoring the Royals 15-7. At half-time with just a 3 point lead the Lady Royals knew their defense needed to step it up again. The start of the 3rd saw just that. The Royals allowed Warren Central just 7 points and were able to score 13 on the offensive end. The game was tough battle between 2 very good teams. Warren Central continued to fight and was able to outscore the Lady Royals 13-12 in the fourth, but they Lady Royals held on for the victory and won 49-41.
Leading the way for the Royals in scoring were Parrish with 19, Hamilton with 14 and Jackson with 9. Rebounding leaders were Parrish with 8, Hamilton with 7 and Irvin with 6.
