The Lady Royal swimmers and divers raced tough tonight at the Mudsock dual vs Fishers, but came up short at the end of the night 105 to 81. The meet started out strong with Abby Harter, Kennedy Fisher, Dabin Jung, and Bri Saple winning the medley relay in 1:48.58.
Individual event winners for HSE were Sarah Ballard in diving (250. 25), Molly Pedersen in the 100 free (52.57), and Kennedy Fisher in the 100 breast (1:06.17). The girls 200 free relay of Kennedy Fisher, Bri Saple, Molly Pedersen, and Kayleigh Witt also won in 1:37.52.
While consistency across the board was a challenge at times tonight, there were many notable impressive performances:
– Anna Stolle’s strong last 25 in the 200IM to take 5th place
– Lauren Bergman’s lifetime best in the 100 fly
– Cassidy Poytner broke 1 minute in the 100 free for the first time
– Brooke Ratliff’s strong swims in the both the 100 free and 100 back
The ladies will be back in action with a quick turnaround at HCC Conference Championships at home Friday (diving) and Saturday (swimming). The team will be challenged to find improvement across the board in these 48 hours, focusing on being aggressive in all aspects of racing. This is a great team and we know the ladies will respond with focused intensity.
