The score does not indicate how close this meet actually was – it was very tight in the beginning and your Lady Royals brought it home very well to finish out the meet. Zionsville is a talented team and it was their Senior Night so they wanted to have a good showing. They forced us into some mistakes early on, but the girls really came out to win in the second part of the meet.

Abby Harter led the way tonight with 2 wins in events she does not normally compete in – she was solid and raced tough! Mo Pedersen had a nice 500 Free to bring home that victory and Molly Robinson got the 1st place finish in the 100 Breast tonight. Sarah Ballard was as competitive, gritty and tough as usual bringing home the diving win. Those wins combined with some great relay swims were enough for the Lady Royals to close out their dual meet season with a victory that moved the team to 9-2 on the year!

Winning those relays for the Royals – Abby Harter, Molly Robinson, Hannah Pugh, Mo Pedersen, Ellie Pedersen, Laura MacLafferty, and Bri Saple. HSE had some great racing from all these young ladies tonight.

This team is working super hard right now and the coaching staff was proud of the effort they brought in the middle of rigorous training being done in preparation for the championships. Many teams get distracted and end up doing a bad job with both meets and the training or perhaps doing only one well – this team is completely the opposite. They are training well and competing like champions right now – it all points to a very positive feeling about the upcoming taper for the championships. Everyone is excited to watch this continue and evolve – the senior leadership has been outstanding and this team is in a really good place. Keep an eye on this team – they are looking very strong and they are just getting started!
