Hamilton Southeastern JV Royal snatched the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Carmel on Monday. The game was tied at five with the Royals batting in the top of the eighth when Noah Wolf singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Carmel scored three runs in the first inning, but the Royals still managed to pull out the victory.
John McCall was the winning pitcher. He allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out eight. Jack Cleckner threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. He recorded the last six outs to earn the save.
HSE collected ten hits on the day. Logan Duffy and Noah Wolf each collected two hits to lead the offense.
