Girls Varsity Track · Girls Varsity Track wins HCC Indoor

The Lady Royals Track team scored in all 11 events Saturday as they outscored the other conference teams by 60 points. Kennedy Drish set an indoor school and meet record in the pole vault as she cleared 12′ 1″. Jessica Bray and Kendall Viele took 2-3 in the event as well with 10′ 6″ and 9′ 3″ respectively. Tierra Sydnor tied the indoor school record as she came in second in the high jump at 5′ 5″. She also place second in the long jump at 16′ 8.75″. Her day was not done as she also led off the 4×400 and 4×200 relays which placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. Mia Mackenzie won the 60 hurdles in 9.27 just missing her meet record of 9.22 set last year. She also placed 3rd in the long jump with 16′ 8.5″. Camille Christopher won the 60 dash in 7.76 seconds. Olivia Burgess placed 3rd in the 60 dash at 8.11 seconds and also ran on the 2nd and 3rd place 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams. Valerie Obear was second in the shot put with a toss of 34′ 1″ and Lulu Black was second in the 3200 run at 11:22.30. Joining Sydnor and Burgess on 3rd place 4×200 was Ella Mackenzie and Amani Dickenson in 1:49.06 and joining them on the 2nd place 4×400 was Mya Hammons and Emonie Miles in 4:07.60. The 4×800 relay team of Ellie Pedersen, Jenna McLean, Maddie Mirro, and Brooke Ratliff also placed second in 9:57.64.
