Hamilton Southeastern High School vs Fishers High School
41 30

In a rivalry match that took on new meaning with former Assistant Coach Frank Ingalls taking over at Fishers HS, the Royals prevailed for a 12th straight season, 41-30.
The match started at 195 where Freshman Spencer Lotz took a tough loss by fall to put the TIgers up 6-0 before the Royals immediately tied it up with #3 ranked Andrew Irick getting a forfeit at 220. At 285, Senior and #13 ranked Crae Kunkleman took home a major decision to give the Royals a lead that they would never relinquish. At 106, Sam Crousore won by Major Decision before Classmate Jake Simone pinned his opponent at 113. Sophomore Jake Lemieux and Freshman Gaige Lloyd kept the string of wins going with falls over their opponents at 120 and 126 before the most exciting match of the night occurred at 132.
Senior Ethan Pritt went on the offensive to start and hit a left handed headlock to take a 5-0 lead before getting called for a questionable illegal hold that gave the Fishers wrestler a point and a shot to come back. After a back and forth affair, the score was tied 13-13 at the end of regulation and after a couple close scrambles, Fishers won a close match 17-13 in OT.
The Royals scored again at 138 with a quick fall by Junior Reece Luhmann and dropped another close one at 145 with Cam Roberts losing a big lead in the 3rd period. Jackson Williams wrestled a tough Josh Reardon at 152, but came away with a 2nd period fall to put the Royals at 41 points before dropping the last two matches at 160, where Ronan Hiner was still out to recover and at 170 and 182.
The Royals improve to an overall record of 13-5 and head to North Central for the tough NC Invite.
