The boys varsity track team finished in 4th place on Thursday evening at the IHSAA Regional Track Meet at Jefferson High School in Lafayette. At regionals, the top 3 performers in each event earn the right to compete at the state meet at IU Bloomington on Friday, May 31. The Royals had several athletes qualify.

The Royals had one relay team qualify – the 4×100, consisting of Stephen Sydnor, Gage Pratt, Caleb Durden, and Noah Malone finished in 3rd place to earn the automatic bid.

In the 100 and 200, Noah Malone is your regional champion, winning the events in times of 10.61 and 21.48 respectively. His 10.61 set a personal best, school record, and regional meet record.

In the Pole Vault, Xan Cluff is moving on to state after finishing 3rd at 13′ 4″. This marks Xan’s first time competing in the state meet.

In the 1600, Eric Carothers is moving on, running a 4:21 and finishing in 4th place.

Finally, in the 3200, Jacob Wiggers is the Regional Champion, running a 9:19.
