The Boys Varsity track team finished 3rd overall on Thursday at the Hamilton County Invite. Opponents included Carmel, Westfield, Fishers, Noblesville, Guerin Catholic, and Hamilton Heights.

Noah Malone earned “Most Points” honors, finishing first in the 100 and 200, and 3rd overall in the 4×100. Right along side Noah in all 3 events was Gage Pratt, finishing 2nd in both the 100 and 200.

Jacob Wiggers and Brady Jarosinski finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 3200 meter run. Elsewhere in the distance events, Jack Struss set a new personal best in the 800 running a 2:01, while Eric Carothers improved his personal best as well, recording a 1:57.

Caleb Durden had an outstanding night, scoring points in all 4 events he participated in, including the 4×100 relay, the 110 hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the long jump. In the long jump, Caleb finished 3rd overall, improving his personal record by almost a foot to 21′ 2″.

In the throws, Evan Lantz went 47′ in the shot put and Ethan Ededuwa broke the 120′ mark in the discus.

The Royals are back in action next Thursday at the Sectional meet at Carmel High School.
