Zionsville was the better team Thursday night, as they beat the Royals 117-53.
The Eagles won every individual event. HSE did record a first-place finish in the 200 free relay behind the efforts of seniors Keegan Streett, Thomas Reising, Justin Voelker, and Zack Bostock.
It was Bostock who closed out the relay victory in his return to competition for the first time in a few weeks after being sidelined by injury. His resurgence will be a huge boost for this team and it was great to see him back in the lineup.
Junior Noah Haines continues to be solid in the 200 and 500, freshman Jack Waren swam a lifetime best in the 200 free, and Reising had a great meet especially in his 100 free.
The Royals will begin their championship season next Friday with the Reserces Championships, then turn their attention to the state tournament with the Sectional Prelims scheduled for Thursday, February 18.
