The Lady Royals dominated Ft. Wayne Carroll Saturday afternoon, in their first home game.

The Lady Royals were led by Molly Walton who dropped 15 points, 9 of which came from beyond the 3-point arc. Sydney Parrish added 12, and Malea Jackson finished with 10.

Amaya Hamilton also had a solid game for the Lady Royals with 8 points, and 9 rebounds. The team was led defensively by Tayah Irvin, who tallied 4 steals, and 5 defensive rebounds, thanks to her quick feet and active hands.

The Lady Royals combined their efforts to turn out a great team win, 62-41 over a solid Ft. Wayne Carroll team.

The Lady Royals next game is Tuesday night, against Brownsburg in the first conference matchup.

The Lady Royals made a push before the half, starting with a drive by Sydney Parrish. Hamilton crashed the board offensively and scored off a put back. To finish the half, Ella Zingraf got a steal off the press and hit Morris down the court for a layup.

It was a rough 3rd quarter for the Lady Royals, as Perry Meridian came out of the half hot, outscoring the Royals 19-12. But the Lady Royals stayed solid defensively, and began attacking the lanes to keep in the game. Parrish was a force offensively, scoring off several drives through the lane. Jackie Maulucci hit Jackson for a trey, and Shelby Ford hit a jumper from 15 feet.

Hands were super active on defense in the 4th. Irvin, Walton, and Parrish all tallied steals late in the game that ultimately led to the Lady Royals victory, 50-43.

Leading scorer of the game was Parrish with 25, who also led the team in rebounds with 9.

The Lady Royals finished their shootout play in Valparaiso against Lake Central, Saturday evening.

The Lady Royals started the game setting the tone defensively, working hard on the press, tallying several steals in the first quarter. Amaya Hamilton was the first to score for the Lady Royals with a rebound and put back. Molly Walton found Malea Jackson on and out-of-bounds play who sank a three. The Royals continued to stay hot from three, with contributions from Walton, and Irvin.

In the 2nd quarter, the Lady Royals continued to stay solid on defense. At one point in the quarter, the Lady Royals held Lake Central for 1:27.

To begin the 2nd half, Sydney Parrish hit Jackson for 2. Tayah Irvin continued her rebounding presence, crashing the boards offensively. Jackson stayed hot, and sank one more three to end the third quarter.

Shelby Ford played a solid game for the Royals, contributing quick hands on defense with several steals, and consistent offensive play. To begin the 4th, she sank a jumper from 15 feet. Lauren Morris added two off a drive and assist by Parrish. And Hamilton worked hard in the lane for two.

The Lady Royals clinched another solid win over Lake Central, 50-28. Leading scorer for the Royals was Jackson with 12. Parrish added 6 rebounds, and Walton had 3 assists.

The Lady Royals traveled to Valparaiso over the weekend for the Valparaiso Shootout. Saturday morning, the Royals took on Valparaiso Vikings.

Malea Jackson started the Lady Royals off with an assist to Sydney Parrish for three. Amaya Hamilton hit two back-to-back short corner jumpers, and Lauren Morris found Parrish on a fast break for another trey.

The Lady Royals crashed the offensive boards hard. Tayah Irvin had active hands on defense, with a steal and finish on the opposite end. Shelby Ford hit Jackie Maulucci behind the three-point stripe, to add another three to the score for the Royals. Molly Walton found Parrish down the court, who hit a two at the buzzer.

To start the second half, Irvin boxed out hard and fought for the rebound, found Parrish outside the lane, and Parrish followed it up with an assist back to Irvin who sank the corner three. The Lady Royals worked well together on both ends of the court.

The Lady Royals finished the game, with great play by Ella Zingraf, Lydia Self, and Shelby Ford. Zingraf hit Ford for a jumper in the lane. Self drove the lane for two. Ford finished the game by sinking a pair from the line.

The Lady Royals started their shootout play with a big team win over Valparaiso 72-42. Lead scorers of the game were Parrish with 24, and Hamilton with 12. Ford tallied 5 rebounds, and Walton had 4 assists.
