They had a slow start to the second set, but they stepped up at 3-3 in the second and won three games in a row to close out the match, winning the second set 6-3. Spirrison & Schneider improve to 22-4 on the year and will advance to the state finals next Friday and Saturday where there will be 7 teams remaining who will be vying for a doubles state championship.
This is Spirrison’s second year in a row that he advances to the state finals in doubles. It was great having his partner from last year (Daniel Verde) come out and support him today! Big shoutout to everyone who came out and supported Andrew & Paul. We had teammates, friends, family, alumni, teachers, and even the HSE principal come out to cheer them on. That’s a big effort to come all the way to Kokomo to root for these two! Thank you for your support! We will need you again this Friday as these guys compete in the state quarterfinals. More details to come… Great job, guys!! #alwaysready
