The Lady Royals Track team had some great performances Friday night at the county track meet only losing to Carmel by 8 points. Camille Christopher set 2 meet records and was part of a third. In the 100 she won in 11.95 and in the 200 she won in 24.96. She was joined by Olivia Burgess, Tierra Sydnor, and Alyssa Barker on the 4×100 relay that won in 47.72. Jessica Bray also equaled the country record as she tied for first in the pole vault at 12′ 6″. Sydnor added 2 other first places finishes in the 400 dash in 58.40 and the long jump with a leap of 17′ 7.5″. Tayah Irvin won the 100 hurdles in 15.80 and Valerie Obear won the discus with a toss of 125′ 2″. The team travels to Zionsville on Tuesday for the HCC Championship.
