Game Recap

The HSE JV Royals traveled to Bishop Chatard on Saturday for a JV contest. It was a defensive battle the entire game and the Chatard Trojans came out on top by the score of 7 to 0. The Royals had 3 drives, 2 of which were deep into Chatard territory but were unable to convert on 4th downs and score any points. The defense played outstanding for the entire game, except for one drive. Chatard’s offense put together an amazing 18 play drive that took almost 9 minutes of clock time. On the defensive side, Cassiere, Peterson, Smith, Cherry and Smarelli seemed to be in on almost every tackle. For the most part the ground and pound Trojans were held in check by the tough front 7 defense of the Royals. The offense found the 4-2-5 defense of the Trojans to be tough against the runs and they would not give up the deep pass. The Royals offense could bend the defense, but could not break through and get the necessary touchdown to win the game. The Royals will be back in action this Saturday for their last game at home against the Brownsburg Bulldogs. The game will not be played under Old Federation clock management rules. Go Royals!
