Lebanon High School
The #22 Royals defeated Lebanon with a match score of 4-1. Wins for the Royals came at 2 singles, 3 singles, 1 doubles, and 2 doubles, and they were all won in straight sets. The #1 doubles team of Andrew Myers and Mark Slaninka were first off with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 win as they dominated the net. Next up was Otto Lutz at #3 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0. Otto did a great job of playing aggressively but also very consistently as he made minimal errors and had 10 winners. Next up was the #2 doubles team of Matthew Parker and Matt Meyer. They played a dominant match, winning 6-1, 6-0. Elias Yarling was next up at #2 singles, winning 6-3, 6-2 . Elias did a nice job of constructing points against a very consistent hustler. McGuire Wolfe fell 2-6, 1-6 at #1 singles against a very tough player, but he hit the ball well, had some great points that he finished at the net, and had good court composure. Overall, we played very well tonight. All of our singles players hit the ball well, and our doubles players were aggressive and controlled the net.
The Royals improve to 5-7 on the year and will be back in action tomorrow night as the make up the match with Noblesville (varsity only) at home. The freshmen will take on Zionsville at home as well.
