Game Recap

A walk-off single led the #3 Hamilton Southeastern Royals past the #2 Fishers 3-2 on Thursday. The Royals knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jacob Daftari doubled on a 2-2 count in the seventh inning, scoring one run. The game was tied at two with the Royals batting in the bottom of the tenth when Jacob Garcia’s single drove in the winning run.

HSE pitchers struck out 16. Dalton Hutchinson earned the win. He went three innings, allowing zero runs, zero hits, striking out five, and walking one. Owen Callaghan started the game. He threw four innings, giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out six.

Jacob Daftari, Zach Boyle, Jacob Garcia, Brock Burns, and Owen Callaghan each collected one hit to lead the Royals.

The Royals are back in action tomorrow night at Fishers. Game time is at 6:00 pm. HSE is 7-1 on the year and 4-0 in the conference.
