Game Recap

On Tuesday night, the HSE Royals went on the road to Muncie Central to open their 2016-2017 boys basketball campaign. The Royals got off to a quick start, but Muncie Central went on a run just before halftime to cut the lead to 8 points at the half. The 3rd quarter saw the Royals put some distance between them and Muncie Central before HSE completely pulled away holding the host Bearcats to 7 points in the 4th quarter for a 97-61 victory. The Royals forced Muncie Central into 22 turnovers and shot 64.3% from the field for the game. HSE had 5 players score 9 or more points and was lead by Senior Zach Gunn’s 25 points and 12 rebounds. Austin Holzum and Chaz Birchfield also combined to dish out 9 assists with 0 turnovers against Muncie Central’s pressure. The Royals next game is Dec. 2 versus conference foe Avon.
