Game Recap

The Hamilton Southeastern Royals defeated Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory 7-4. Jonathan McGee knocked in three runs and went 3 for 4 helping the Royals to a victory on Tuesday. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Matthew Gorski pitched lights out for HSE. Brebeuf managed just one hit off of Gorski, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Carter Lohman got the win for the Royals. He allowed three runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.

The Royals never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on a two-run double by McGee. Owen Callaghan got things started in the third with a double and scored on a McGee single. HSE would score two more runs on hits by Mike Pachmayer and Spencer Irick. In the fourth, they scored on a wild pitch, bringing home Cole Jacobs. McGee scored the final run in the seventh.

The Royals are back in action on Thursday at home against conference foe, Westfield. Game time is 6:00 pm.
